The Mission
Founded in 1986, the San Jose Jazz Society is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring Jazz to the Silicon Valley community through performance and education. The San Jose Jazz Society presents Jazz to the public in a myriad of ways, including: free concerts, festivals, hands-on workshops, clinics, master classes, commissions for new works, and education & outreach initiatives. SJJS's goal is to enhance the community's awareness of this indigenous music form and to keep the majority of its performances and workshops free to the public.
